Behind the Name

Lydia Moore -> Moore Lydia

I pride myself in my last name. Why? Because I feel that it truly encompasses me as a person. My thoughts, ideas, and beliefs are all entangled in my last name. I always used to feel like I was "too much", until I start figuring out that the "more" [Moore], the "extra", or the "too much", was what made me, me. I was afraid of feeling too serious, too emotional, too quiet, too weird, too goofy, or too caring.

Now, I've realized that's just me and no one else can take that from me.

I love being more, I love being a MOORE.

It shows my heart.

It shows my dedication.

It reflects my willingness to give more, my willingness to grow more and MORE each day, and the constant push to be [greater than >] I was the day before.

To live up to my name.

To have a SOLID foundation and understanding of my passions, work, and relationships.

So, in late 2022 I had an idea. Let's get back to the basics. Let's form Solyd Strategies.

Welcome to Solyd Strategies. Where we give more. Where we go above and beyond.

Let me introduce myself

Hi my name is Lydia!

I was born in Memphis, TN, have lived most of my life in Birmingham and Huntsville, AL. A few years ago I picked up my life in Alabama and headed to the Seattle and roadtripped throughout the Pacific Northwest to "spread my wings" (so they say) to explore new beginnings.

I grew up in an extremely creative family and have known that design was my passion since I entered high school. You could always catch me drawing, doodling, and practicing drawing "typography" by hand in my notebooks.

As time proceeded, I became more infatuated with the principles of design, how I could lead a more creative, hands-on career, and jumping onto any opportunity to create designs for people who mentioned it.

No matter what project I took on, I did it because I loved doing it. And I still do.

Within the last few years, I started working for and creating designs for boutique creative agencies, nationally recognized brands like Ashley Furniture Homestores, Two Maids & A Mop, Chester's Chicken, and Altec Industries. All very different industries, but oh so valuable. I also freelanced with Raw & Rebellious, a jewelry company and huge online community; OpenSky Health, a medical software optimization company; Evan Gove Enterprises, a creative marketing agency; Cornerstone Gundog Academy, a online dog training service; Insta Picnic, a pop-up picnic service; and other countless individuals creating independent branding services for their personal use. At the tail end of 2020 amidst COVID-19, I decided to create my own t-shirt line, and was then offered an amazing full-time job doing social media at a non-profit.

Now here I am, going back to full-time contract freelance work. I specialize in graphic design, social media management, content creation, copywriting, website design, website management, paid media advertising, and branding.

I hope I can leave a lasting impression on you in some way.

Please reach out if you have any questions.
